DDC is migrating to a new, cloud-based file transfer (SFTP) service.
Impact: HR, Membership, Payroll, Pledge, and other file transfers supporting Democracy Direct®.
Summary
The way in which you send and receive files to DDC is changing (FTP).
You must take action and reach out to your contact at DDC to request an invite to the new platform (please see below).
Existing SSH consumer keys have been migrated, but the connection is changing (see below).
You can use either system during the migration period.
If your IT system restricts access to https://omcit-us1.kiteworks.com/ you will need to work your IT team directly (internally to your organization) to resolve ahead of the deadline.

Deadline: September 15th, 2025
As part of DDC’s ongoing cloud modernization efforts, we are transitioning from our legacy on-premises SFTP system to a secure, cloud-based platform: Secure Share North America, Powered by Kiteworks. This upgrade enhances both performance and security for file transfers and automation.
Customers who have not transitioned by this date may experience interruptions to file transfers, automations, integrations, and ETL services.
An interoperability window is in place so customers may continue using either the legacy or Kiteworks system during the transition.

If You Currently Use an SSH Key
your key has been migrated. However, the connection string is changing.
Your new username format is: svc.kiteworks.{YourCurrentUsername}.ddc.us@omc.oneds.com
Example: ssh 'svc.kiteworks.ValuedCustomer.ddc.us@omc.oneds.com'@omcit-us1.kiteworks.com
To support our enhanced security posture, the new measures are in effect for non-SSH connections:
90-day password expiration enforcement
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via email
Customers using automation, scripting, or ETL tools are strongly encouraged to configure an SSH key through the web portal and use it for all automated file transfers.
