

Release Notes, October 2024 "Olympic National Park"
First, thank you to all users (internal and external) who contributed to this release!
These updates impact PAC management, compliance, fundraising, and overall usability and performance in the Beta application.
Get Out the Vote (GOTV) updates to be released to all client websites, the week of the Oct 14th.
Expanded Presidential/Vice Presidential Candidate List: The default candidate list for the offices of President and Vice President will now automatically display all candidates, without requiring users to manually expand the list. This change simplifies access to full candidate details for users.
Resorting of Candidates: Candidates will now be sorted by chamber, party affiliation, with major party (Democrats and Republicans) candidates listed first, followed by other candidates in alphabetical order. Incumbent will still be labeled as such, but no longer necessarily listed first.
Election Updates for Flood-Affected Areas: In response to the recent hurricane and subsequent flooding, users in affected areas will see a message to visit their state's official election website for the latest updates on any hurricane related impacts, such as voting locations, dates, or deadlines.
The PAC menu is now more intuitive: By analyzing PAC user journeys, the navigation is optimized to help users perform daily tasks more efficiently. The search and add functions are re-structured into a more streamlined and concise format.
User Experience Enhancements:
Democracy Direct® now includes the Recent Searches feature relocated to the top menu for easier access.
To enhance user experience, the frame heights of classic screens will now adjust automatically.
Bug Fixes and Patches:
Discrepancies in offline activity name updates Legislator’s record are resolved.
Issues reported on data discrepancies - OnPrem Democracy Direct® vs Beta Democracy Direct® are resolved.
Minor bugs related to Pledge Notes, Draft Emails, Action Alerts are fixed.
Updates related to session timeouts, reducing duplicate requests, and optimizing backend performance to ensure a more reliable and efficient user experience.
